Keir Bradwell

I work at GiveWell, where I’m especially interested in leveraged grantmaking and the qualitative aspects of our cost-effectiveness analyses. This year, I’ve been focused on water chlorination and income generation.

Before that, I studied political theory. I received a Distinction in my MPhil in Political Thought and Intellectual History (2022-23), and a Double First in my BA in History and Politics (2019-22), both at the University of Cambridge. My MPhil thesis (here) was on the place of social theory and political economy in liberal thought since Adam Smith; I’m currently working on a couple of other projects in my spare time, for which I received an Emergent Ventures grant.

I occasionally write elsewhere (such as here or here on being President of the Cambridge Union in 2021). I all-too-infrequently blog, here, and tweet, here. I am unfortunately much better at starting blog post drafts than I am at finishing them. Any help gratefully received.

I take my camera whenever I travel. A few recent pictures are below.

I’m British, but I’m based in New York.
